When things in your life seem, almost too much to handle,
When 24 Hours in a day is not enough,
Remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class
and had some items in front of him.
When the class began, wordlessly,
He picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar
And proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students, if the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured
them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly.
The pebbles rolled into the open Areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.
Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous ‘yes.’

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively
filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

‘Now,’ said the professor, as the laughter subsided,
‘I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.
The golf balls are the important things - family,
children, health, Friends, and Favorite passions –
Things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, Your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house, and car.

The sand is everything else —The small stuff.

‘If you put the sand into the jar first,’ He continued,
there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.
The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff,
You will never have room for the things that are important to you.

So…

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
Play With your children.
Take time to get medical checkups.
Take your partner out to dinner.

There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.

‘Take care of the golf balls first —
The things that really matter.
Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.

The professor smiled
‘I’m glad you asked’.

It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem,
There’s always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.’

Hi!

My last post was about my resignation and after a few weeks, I went back and was supposed to pack my stuff in the office but because I went there unannounced after weeks of prioritizing other matters, I decided to just come back on the 19th since the officer in charge of turnovers is on leave.

Wow, I miss Tumblr and talking to myself. Lol.

The past few weeks seemed like a roller coaster ride. But it’s something I’ve been wanting to do for quite some time. I love the freedom. More about what I’ve been up to in posts to come.

This was the last picture I took of myself in the office. I missed the structure and the people but the months to come are going to be exciting. I know I’ve made the right decision.

For you.

Eds asked why I haven’t been Tumblring and I told her it is because I am so busy living that I have no time for posting.

My first post from that short hiatus is about a decision I made (long and hard) that will set the wheel in motion for my life plan this year.

Today makes it official: I am resigning as the sustainability coordinator of Children’s Legal Bureau after two years.

The reason why will unfold in the posts to come.

What I love about my life is that I am capable of making decisions and no one decides for me other than myself.

That I am doing whatever makes me happy.

And this is the on-site wedding video made by THE Mayad Studios team.

I gave the groom a high five while putting on the cord. LOL.

Sooo bugoy, even in gown.

And oh, this is a tearjerker. Yes, I cried during the wedding. Really can’t help it when you know that these two got married because they have great love for each other, no other reason.

A few nights ago, KL and I were chatting when she I asked her if she’s pregnant yet. She said no. The following morning, she sent me a message that she is! Her doctor made her get a test following a medical procedure. Just a few days after their wedding anniversary. :D

Her sister KT is also three months pregnant. I can’t help but feel overjoyed at how blessed this family is because they are really good people and I am grateful to be a part of their life. :D

Kathleen’s gown is to die for! A Cary Santiago masterpiece. It was really awesome, delicate and beautiful up close. A work of art! It was priced at 150-200,000php!

Photos were shot by THE MangoRed team.

I fitted my gown straight from the airport to the nearest Starbucks. No alterations. :)

Spot the girl who’s about to cobra strike anyone who’d laugh at her wearing a gown.

But oh, I was really feeling this! Gown and hair done like that. :D

During one of our random convos, a Targaryen asked me from which Houses of Westeros do I belong to. I’m obviously a Stark, through and through. Yesterday, I got an early Christmas present.

Thanks, Daenerys. Again, I am missing you AND PEANUT already. <3

House Personality

Starks rarely turn to intrigue when confronted with a problem, preferring instead to face the problem head on — no matter the consequences. This trait is exemplified by Eddard Stark’s refusal to play politics with the lives of Cersei and Joffrey Baratheon, a mistake that will cost him both his honour and his life. His son Robb carries on this tradition, and has shown himself to be a decisive and shrewd military commander even at the age of 15. Honour is very important to House Stark, and their actions are governed by it — sometimes even past the point of wisdom. Their history of defending the Seven Kingdoms from the threats in the North has made them hard and practical. Starks tend to speak plainly and truthfully, although they know and use the courtesies of the court as needed.
